The tower houses a fine ring of eight bells cast in 1901 by the
John Taylor Bell Foundry at Loughborough, Leics. from six older
bells - three dating back to 1755. The octave is tuned to the key
of F sharp and hangs in a large metal frame.
In 1999 the bells
were overhauled and re-hung with new or refurbished fittings including
new bearings, under the scheme for "Ringing in the Millenium200011,
the funding shared by the National Lottery, The Friends, various
church groups, and private donors.
The bells are usually rung on Sundays at 9.00a.m. and at other arranged
times.
