"FOSM" is an independent society registered with the Charity Commissioners (No 1048888). The aims of the society are to assist, by grants to the St Mary's Church Council, the funding of special projects relating to maintenance, preservation and restoration of the fabric of the Church. The Millennium Bells project was primed with a grant of £9000 and over £55,000 resulted from the Friends contribution to the Tower refurbishment. The AGM is held in May to elect the trustees and receive reports.

Membership is £5.00 per year.
